A535 Rub (menthol) is used for short-term relief of fast and effective relief from muscle aches and arthritis pain.

When should A535 Rub (menthol) not be taken?

Do not use A535 Rub (menthol) if you/your child is allergic to any ingredient in A535 Rub (menthol), you have skin infection, if you have broken and irritated skin |
What precautions should I follow when taking A535 Rub (menthol) ?

Before using A535 Rub (menthol), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you/your child is taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplements if your child has any other medical condition |
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking A535 Rub (menthol)?

Apply a thin film of cream to the affected area and gently rub in until fully absorbed, for optimum relief apply 3 to 4 times daily. |

How should I take A535 Rub (menthol)?
|
How much medicine you give and how often it is given depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of A535 Rub (menthol) you are giving, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the labeling information provided with A535 Rub (menthol). A535 Rub (menthol) is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not place in mouth or nostrils. Rub a thick layer of A535 Rub (menthol) on the throat and chest or as directed by your health care provider and cover the areas with a warm, dry cloth if desired. Repeat application up to 3 times daily, especially at bedtime, or as directed by your health care provider. Stop using A535 Rub (menthol) and contact your health care provider if redness or soreness of the skin occurs. If cough continues for more than 1 week or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache contact your child's health care provider. Do not give any over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Parents of children with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before giving A535 Rub (menthol). Do not give more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have given too much of A535 Rub (menthol).

Store A535 Rub (menthol) at controlled room temperature (59 to 86 degrees F). Close cap tightly after use. |
