Make sure your vision is clear before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are not able to see well . |

Most severe: Increased sweating; muscle tremors; nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; troubled breathing or wheezing; watering of mouth, eye pain

Most common: Blurred vision or change in near or far vision; decrease in night vision

Other: Eye irritation; headache or browache

How should I take Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine) must be used with other tuberculosis medications. Be sure to keep appointments. If eyeglasses are worn before the use of Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine), the glasses must be worn during vision testing. Contact your Health care provider if changes in vision occur. Vision sharpness usually returns over a period of weeks to months after Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine) has been stopped. Do not stop taking Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Akarpine Eyedrops (pilocarpine). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
