Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) may reduce your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) affects you and you are sure it won't affect your performance. You should not wear soft contact lenses while you are using Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine). This it because Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) contains a preservative that can be absorbed by soft contact lenses and cause eye irritation. |

Most common: Blurred vision, eye irritation, photophobia, conjunctival follicles, dryness, burning, itching, painful sensation in the ey, red eye, dryness and irritation.

How should I take Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) must be used with other tuberculosis medications. Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) should be taken once every 24 hours. It may be taken with or without food. Monthly vision tests will be required while taking Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine). Be sure to keep appointments. If eyeglasses are worn before the use of Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine), the glasses must be worn during vision testing. Contact your Health care provider if changes in vision occur. Vision sharpness usually returns over a period of weeks to months after Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) has been stopped. Do not stop taking Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Alphagan Eyedrops (brimonidine). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
