Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) is used for the temporary relief of headache, toothache, backache, menstrual cramps and minor aches and pains due to common cold and arthritis.

Do not take Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer if you have peptic ulcer or gastro-intestinal bleeding.

Before using Anacin (aspirin/caffeine), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have impaired kidney or liver function, if you have heart or lung problem if you have chicken pox or flu if you have aspirin induced asthma if you have gastro-intestinal bleeding

Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) should be used with caution in people who consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day. Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) may cause stomach bleeding.

Other: Ringing in the ears, redness or swelling in the painful area

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) should be taken with food. Do not stop taking Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) or change the dose without checking with your health care provider. This could have serious adverse effects. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a health care provider because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Avoid alcohol and other medicines that may cause gastro-intestinal irritation while you are taking Anacin (aspirin/caffeine). Inform your health care provider if you are taking an oral contraceptive. Your health care provider may have to adjust the dose of Anacin (aspirin/caffeine). Be sure to keep appointments. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Anacin (aspirin/caffeine). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Children and teenagers should not use Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a health care provider is consulted about Reye syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. Do not use if seal under bottle cap imprinted with "SEALED for YOUR PROTECTION" is broken or missing. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Anacin (aspirin/caffeine) at 68 to 77 degree F in a dry, place.
