What is Anusol HC (zinc sulfate/HC) used for? |
Anusol HC (zinc sulfate/HC) is used for the temporary relief of pain, soreness, burning and itching associated with hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders while it forms a temporary protective coating over inflamed tissues to help prevent drying of tissues.

Most severe: Allergic reaction (rash, itching, redness, burning), worsening of sysmptoms
|

Most common: Burning, increased skin dryness, mild skin irritation

How should I take Anusol HC (zinc sulfate/HC)?
|
How much medicine you use depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the severity of the condition and duration of treatment. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Anusol HC (zinc sulfate/HC) you are using, talk with your health care provider. If condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, stop use of this product and do not begin use of any other hydrocortisone product unless you have consulted a physician. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a physician. In case of bleeding, consult a physician promptly. Do not put this product into the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator. Do not use for treatment of diaper rash. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
