Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) relieves runny nose due to hay fever and cold.

Do not take Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) if you are allergic to any component present in Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) if you have enlarged prostate or urinary bladder obstruction, if you have narrow angle glaucoma .

Before using Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment or heart problem

It is very important that you use Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) properly, so that Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) gets into the lungs. Keep Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) away from your eyes. It can cause blurred vision, visual halos and colors, red eyes, pain, or even narrow-angle glaucoma. If any of these symptoms develop, see your doctor immediately. Unless you are directed to do so by your doctor, do not take Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) if you have the eye condition called narrow-angle glaucoma (high pressure inside the eye), an enlarged prostate, or obstruction in the neck of the bladder.

Other: Constipation, coordination difficulty, difficulty in urinating, drowsiness, fatigue, flushing, hives, hoarseness, inability to fall or stay asleep, increased heart rate, itching, low blood pressure, loss of hair, mouth sores, palpitations, prostate problems, sharp eye pain, swelling of the tongue, lips, and face, tightening of the throat, tingling sensation, tremors, urinary tract infection

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Atrovent Nasal Spray (ipratropium bromide) at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.
