Most severe: Heart failure, anorexia, dry mouth, dyspepsia, constipation, flatulence, dizziness, insomnia, somnolence, decreased libido, impotence, nocturia, alopecia, rash, sweating, hirsutism, hyperglycemia, edema, weight gain, weight loss, diabetes mellitus.

Most common:ÿ Hot flashes; pain; back pain; pelvic pain; weakness; abdominal pain; chest pain; headache; flu syndrome; constipation; nausea; diarrhea; indigestion; gas; loss of appetite; vomiting; swelling of the arms and legs; weight loss; weight gain; bone pain; joint pain; muscle weakness; dizziness; abnormal skin sensations; sleeplessness; anxiety; depression; increased cough; sore throat; runny nose; rash; sweating; excessive urination at night; blood in urine; impotence; breast pain; frequent urination; urinary retention; breast growth in males.

How should I take Casodex (bicalutamide)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Casodex (bicalutamide) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Casodex (bicalutamide) may be taken with or without food (morning or evening). Take Casodex (bicalutamide) at the same time each day. Casodex (bicalutamide) may produce dizziness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not stop taking Casodex (bicalutamide) without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Casodex (bicalutamide). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
