To avoid possible withdrawal effects, the administration of Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) should not be abruptly discontinued but rather be gradually reduced |
What are the side effects of Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate)?

Most severe: Chest pain; fainting; rapid heartbeat.
|
|
Most common: Headache.
|
|
Other: Lightheadedness. Tolerance and dependence on Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) can occur. Withdrawal from Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) should be gradual.

How should I take Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often it is taken depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Swallow whole. Do not crush or chew. Take Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) with aspirin or acetaminophen to avoid headache. Do not change the time you take Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate). Do not drink alcohol while taking Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate). Dizziness or lightheadedness can occur when rising from a seated or lying position. If fainting occurs, contact your doctor. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate). Do not take more medicine or change the dose unless advised to do so by your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, restart the medication and make your health care provider aware at next visit.

Store Cedocard SR (isosorbide dinitrate) at controlled room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F) in a dry place. Keep medication in its original container. |
