Celluvisc (carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC)) is used for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or due to exposure to wind or sun. May be used as a protectant against further irritation.

Celluvisc (carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC)) is for external use only. To avoid contamination, do not touch unit-dose tip of container to any surface. Do not reuse. Once opened, discard. Do not touch unit-dose tip to eye. Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy. |

How should I take Celluvisc (carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC))?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Celluvisc (carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC)) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Ideal for moderate-to-severe dry eye, Celluvisc (carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC)) soothes your eyes with a special, thicker formula that contains many of the same healthy qualities as natural tears. This effective, extra-strength eye drop is also preservative-free for sensitive eyes, and can be used as often as needed to provide 24-hour comfort.Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
