Centrum (multivitamins) is not intended for use in children. Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a health care provider or poison control center immediately. : Long-term intake of high levels of vitamin A (excluding that sourced from beta-carotene) may increase the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Do not take this product if taking other vitamin A supplements. |

How should I take Centrum (multivitamins)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Centrum (multivitamins) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Centrum (multivitamins) should be taken with food. Do not stop taking Centrum (multivitamins) or change the dose without checking with your health care provider. This could have serious adverse effects. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Centrum (multivitamins). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
