Before using Claritin Allergy Eye Relief (oxymetazoline), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have impaired kidney or liver function, if you have heart or lung problem if your condition does not improve within 3 days, if it gets worse, or if you notice eye pain or vision changes difficulty in urination due to enlarged prostate, if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma, thyroid disease, or diabetes if you are using MAO Inhibitors. |

How should I take Claritin Allergy Eye Relief (oxymetazoline)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Claritin Allergy Eye Relief (oxymetazoline) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Tell your health care provider or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications that you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them. The treatment usually continues for 7 to 10 days. Soft contact lenses should be removed before using Claritin Allergy Eye Relief (oxymetazoline). You should notice improvement in your condition within 3 days and treatment should be continued until the condition is completely cleared up. If irritation persists, or if irritation gets worse or does not improve within three days, contact your health care provider. To avoid contamination of the eye drops, do not allow the dropper tip to touch the eye or any other surface. Always replace the cap on the container after using. Do not share eye drops, as this may spread infection between people. Do not use the solution if it changes colour or becomes cloudy. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Claritin Allergy Eye Relief (oxymetazoline). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
