Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) is prescribed to help treat narcolepsy (recurrent "sleep attacks") and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Do not use Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) if you are allergic to this or similar medicines or to any ingredient present in Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship), if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the last 14 days

Before using Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking any herbal products, if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment, heart ot lung problem

Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) may impair judgment or coordination. Do not drive or operate dangerous machinery until you know how you react to the medication.

Other: Changes in sex drive, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, exaggerated feeling of well-being or depression, headache, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, hives, impotence, loss of appetite, rapid heartbeat, sleeplessness, stomach and intestinal disturbances, tremors, uncontrollable twitching or jerking, unpleasant taste in the mouth, weight loss

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Do not take Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) late in the day, since this could cause insomnia. If you experience insomnia or loss of appetite while taking this drug, notify your doctor; you may need a lower dosage. It is likely that your doctor will periodically take you off Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) to determine whether you still need it. Do not chew or crush the sustained-release form of Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship). Do not increase the dosage, except on your doctor's advice. Do not use Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) to improve mental alertness or stay awake. Do not share it with others.

Store Dexedrine (controlled, not able to ship) in a dry place at room temperature between 59° - 86°F. Keep out of reach of children and pets
