Before using Diflusal (diflunisal), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you are taking blood thinners if you have stomach problems if you have peptic ulcers if you have any other medical condition like liver or kidney function impairment or heart problem if you have anemia, asthma, especially aspirin sensitive asthma, bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia, if you are a cigarette smoker, if you have dental disease, diabetes, heart or circulation problems, such as heart failure or leg edema (fluid retention), high blood pressure, if you drink more than three (3) alcohol-containing beverages a day, kidney disease, liver disease, stomach or duodenal ulcers, systemic lupus erythematosus, taking medicines that make you bleed easily such as anticoagulants ('blood thinners'), ulcerative colitis, an unusual or allergic reaction to aspirin, other salicylates, other NSAIDs, other medicines, foods, dyes or preservatives |

Most severe: Signs of bleeding from the stomach - black tarry stools, blood in the urine, unusual tiredness or weakness, vomiting blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, signs of an allergic reaction - difficulty breathing or wheezing, skin rash, redness, blistering or peeling skin, hives, or itching, swelling of eyelids, throat, lips, blurred vision, change in the amount of urine passed, difficulty swallowing, severe heartburn or burning, pain in throat, pain or difficulty passing urine, stomach pain or cramps, swelling of feet or ankles, yellowing of eyes or skin
