Entex LA (not available in Canada) is used for short-term relief of sinus inflammation, runny nose, and hay fever, as well as coughs due to sinus inflammation, sore throat, bronchitis, and asthma when complicated by thick mucus and congestion.

Do not take Entex LA (not available in Canada) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Entex LA (not available in Canada) or to similar medications you are currently taking or have taken a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor within the last 14 days

Before using Entex LA (not available in Canada), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have heart disease if you have high blood pressure if you have diabetes if you have increased pressure in the eye if you have an overactive thyroid if you have difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate if you have any other medical condition

Other:  Feeling of fear; anxiety; nervousness; restlessness; tremor; weakness; pale skin; painful urination; sleeplessness.

How much medicine you take and how often it is taken depend on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Entex LA (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the patient leaflet provided with Entex LA (not available in Canada) and reread it each time you get your prescription refilled. Take Entex LA (not available in Canada) in the morning and evening or as prescribed by your health care provider. Swallow tablets whole. Do not crush or chew them. Take Entex LA (not available in Canada) with food, water, or milk to minimize stomach upset. If nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur, stop using Entex LA (not available in Canada) and talk with your doctor. Entex LA (not available in Canada) may cause dizziness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Diabetes patients -- Entex LA (not available in Canada) may affect your blood sugar level. Your doctor may need to change the amount of your diabetes medicine while you are taking Entex LA (not available in Canada). Do not take Entex LA (not available in Canada) if you are currently taking an MAO inhibitor or have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 2 weeks. If you are not sure whether any of Entex LA (not available in Canada)s contain an MAO inhibitor, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using Entex LA (not available in Canada). Do not give Entex LA (not available in Canada) to children less than 12 years of age without talking with a health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Entex LA (not available in Canada). Do not take more medicine than recommended unless you are told to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken too much of Entex LA (not available in Canada). If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, restart medication and contact your health care provider.

Store Entex LA (not available in Canada) a controlled room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F). Keep in a tight, light-resistant container.
