Most severe: Memory loss; confusion; abnormal skin sensations; muscle weakness; lack of energy; seizures; speech disturbance; flu-like symptoms (fever; chills; unexplained tiredness).

Most common: Excitation; nervousness; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; loss of appetite; constipation; inflammation of the mouth and gums.
|

Other: Rash; dizziness; depression; headache; sleeplessness; joint pain; muscle aches; changes in taste and smell.

How should I take Ergamisol (Levamisole)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Ergamisol (Levamisole) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with Ergamisol (Levamisole) and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Take Ergamisol (Levamisole) exactly as directed by your health care provider. Stop taking Ergamisol (Levamisole) and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms: Confusion; lack of energy; memory loss; muscle weakness; abnormal skin sensations; seizures; speech disturbance. These symptoms may be signs of a serious condition requiring immediate medical attention. Contact your health care provider at once if you experience flu-like symptoms (eg, unexplained tiredness, fever, chills). Ergamisol (Levamisole) may cause dizziness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Ergamisol (Levamisole). A serious reaction may occur. Lab tests will be required during treatment. Be sure to keep appointments. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Ergamisol (Levamisole). Do not stop taking Ergamisol (Levamisole) without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken too much of Ergamisol (Levamisole). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medicines without talking with your doctor. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
