What is Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) used for? |
Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) is used to treat hyperpigmentation of skin due to sun damage, aging, pigmentation during pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, following hormonal treatments etc.

What precautions should I follow when taking Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) ?

Before using Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition like heart disease, lung disease, impairment of kidney or liver functions. |
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid)?

Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) is for external use only. Avoid contact of Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) to your eyes and other mucosal surfaces. Test for skin sensitivity before using Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin and check within 24 hours. Minor redness does not necessarily mean treatment should be stopped. Where there is itching, blistering, or excessive swelling and redness, further treatment is not advised; however, it is recommended that you contact your doctor. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. If no lightening effect is noted after 2 months of treatment, Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) should be discontinued. The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established. This product is not for patients who have exhibited a prior sensitivity or allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid). |

How should I take Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. If no lightening effect is noted after 2 months of treatment, Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid) should be discontinued. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Glyquin XM (hydroquinone/hyaluronic acid). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
