Most common:  Fluid retention; muscle weakness; muscle disease; loss of muscle mass; brittle bones; bone fractures; stomach ulcers and bleeding; stomach bloating; ulcers in the esophagus; delayed wound healing; thin fragile skin; unusual bleeding or bruising; swelling of the face; sweating; dizziness; headache; "moon face"; dizziness; headache; menstrual irregularities; growth suppression in children.
Other: Suppression of growth in children, symptoms of diabetes, thin, fragile skin, tiny red or purplish spots on the skin, vertigo

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) can hide the signs of an infection or decrease your resistance to infection. Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) may increase blood pressure and cause you to retain salt and water, and increase your loss of potassium. You may need to limit your intake of salt and take potassium supplements. Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) can cause calcium loss and increase your risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones). Take calcium and vitamin D supplements while you are taking Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet). Do not stop taking Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) suddenly. Tell your health care provider as soon as possible if any of the following symptoms occur when Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) is decreased or stopped: Fever; vomiting; loss of appetite; diarrhea; nausea; dizziness; weight loss; weakness; general body discomfort; joint or muscle pain. Exams may be required while using Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet). Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet) without checking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Kenalog Injection (triamcinolone acet). Do not take more medicine than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
