Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) is used with diet changes to lower blood cholesterol levels in adults with high cholesterol or triglyceride lipid levels.

Do not take Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) you have gallbladder disease you have liver problems, including cirrhosis you have severe kidney problems

Before using Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you are taking blood thinners if you have any other medical condition

Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) should be used with caution as it may cause drowsiness. Driving or operating machinery, or performing other tasks that require mental alertness requires extreme caution when first starting treatment with Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated). Avoid participating in these activities until you determine how the medication affects you. Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages or use them in moderation.

Other: Belching; constipation; decreased sexual drive; dizziness; eye irritation; gas; increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight; stuffy nose.

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the patient leaflet provided with Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Take Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. Take Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) with meals to increase effectiveness. Carefully follow the diet, exercise, and weight reduction programs given to you by your health care provider while you are taking Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated). Every effort should be made to control triglyceride levels with diet, exercise, weight loss (if appropriate), and control of any other medical problems associated with high triglyceride levels (eg, diabetes, underactive thyroid). Stop taking Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) and contact your health care provider at once if you experience muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially if accompanied by fever or general body discomfort. These could be signs of a serious medical condition. Take Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after taking a bile acid binding resin (eg, cholestyramine). Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their doctor before taking Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated). Do not stop taking Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) without checking with your doctor. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken too much of Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated). If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Store Lipidil Supra (fenofibrate, microcoated) at controlled room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from moisture.
