Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) is used to provide fast, soothing relief of: heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach. associated symptoms of gas and upset stomach and overindulgence in food and drink.

Do not take Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) or similar medications

Before using Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition

Use Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) with caution if you have kidney disease. Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) may interact with the prescription drugs. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) if breakaway band on plastic cap is broken or missing.

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone). Take Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. You must carefully follow the cholesterol-lowering diet given to you by your health care provider. Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) may be taken after a meal and at bedtime. Do not stop taking Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) without checking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed. Do not take more than 12 teaspoonfuls in a 24-hour period or use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel like you have taken too much of Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Mylanta (aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone) in a cool, dry place. Replace cap after using. Do not freeze.
