Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) is used for the relief of gastro-intestinal allergy.

Do not take Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) or similar medications

Before using Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condit

Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) should be used under the supervision of a health care provider.

Other: Erythema, urticaria or maculopapular rash

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Take Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) may be taken with or without food. Stop taking Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) and contact your health care provider at once if you become pregnant while taking Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium). For best results, dissolve the contents of the capsule in warm water and take as a solution. Chronic inflammatory bowel disease: Initial dose: Adults: 200 mg 4 times daily 15 to 20 minutes before meals. Initial dose: Children from 2 to 14 years: 100 mg 4 times daily 15 to 20 minutes before meals. Maintenance dose: To prevent relapses dosage should be maintained indefinitely at 200 mg 4 times daily in adults and 100 mg 4 times daily in children. Food allergy: Initial dose: Adults: 200 mg 4 times daily 15 to 20 minutes before meals. Initial dose: Children from 2 to 14 years: 100 mg 4 times daily 15 to 20 minutes before meals. If satisfactory control of symptoms is not achieved within 2 to 3 weeks the dosage may be doubled but should not exceed 40 mg/kg/day. Maintenance dose: Once a therapeutic response has been achieved the dose may be reduced to the minimum required to maintain the patient free of symptoms. Patients unable to avoid allergenic foods under certain circumstances may be able to protect themselves against the effect of these foods by taking a single dose 15 minutes before the meal. The optimum dosage will need to be determined for each patient. A suitable starting dose would be 200 mg in adults and 100 mg in children. Contact your health care provider if unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness occur, especially if accompanied by general body discomfort or fever. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) without checking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel like you have taken too much of Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Nalcrom (cromoglycate sodium) in a cool, dry place. Protect from heat and light.
