Neggram (nalidixic acid) is used to treat urinary tract infections caused by certain bacteria in adults and children 3 months of age and older.

Do not take Neggram (nalidixic acid) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Neggram (nalidixic acid) you have a history of convulsive disorders

Before using Neggram (nalidixic acid), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition

Other:  Burning or tingling feeling of the skin.

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Neggram (nalidixic acid) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Neggram (nalidixic acid) may be taken with or without food. Drink plenty of fluids while taking Neggram (nalidixic acid). Neggram (nalidixic acid) should be taken 4 times a day for 1 or 2 weeks. Neggram (nalidixic acid) is for adults and children 3 months of age and older. The amount of medication for a child 12 years of age and younger is based on the body weight of the child. Do not take antacids while taking Neggram (nalidixic acid). Discontinue taking Neggram (nalidixic acid) if you experience a skin rash or any other allergic reaction. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking products with caffeine while taking Neggram (nalidixic acid). Avoid excessive sunlight or artificial ultraviolet light while taking Neggram (nalidixic acid). Discontinue taking Neggram (nalidixic acid) if serious sensitivity to sunlight occurs. Do not stop taking Neggram (nalidixic acid) without checking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Neggram (nalidixic acid). Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Store Neggram (nalidixic acid) tablets at or below 77 degrees F.
