What is Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) used for? |
Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) is used to relieve pain, itching, and burning due to hemorrhoids. It may also be used to relieve pain and itching associated with sunburn, minor burns, cuts, scrapes, insect bites, or minor skin irritation.

Do not use Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) on infants under 2 years of age or less than 35 lbs in weight |

How should I take Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide)?
|
How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) you are using, talk with your health care provider. Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) is for external use only. Do not use near the eyes. Cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before applying Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide). Apply to the affected area (s) 3 to 4 times daily or as directed by your health care provider. If condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days, contact your doctor. Do not put this product in the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device. If the symptom being treated does not improve or if redness, irritation, swelling, pain, bleeding or other symptoms develop or worsen, stop use and contact your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide). Do not use more than the recommended daily dosage unless advised to do so by your health care provider.

How should Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) be stored?
|
|
Store Nupercainal Ointmant (dibucaine/domiphen bromide) between 59 and 86 degrees F. Avoid excessive heat, direct light and moisture. Do not freeze. |
