Most severe: Black, tarry stools; severe allergic reaction.
|
|
Most common: Gastrointestinal disturbances; drowsiness; dizziness; lightheadedness; general body discomfort; overstimulation.
|
|
Other: Rash; small red spots under the skin; unusual bruising; changes in urine color.
|
How should I take Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen) may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Stop taking Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen) and contact your doctor at once if you develop any of the following: Fever; rash; loss of appetite; nausea; vomiting; fatigue; pain in the upper right of your abdomen; dark urine; yellowing of the skin or eyes; skin redness; hives; itching. Avoid alcohol and other mediations that cause drowsiness. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not stop taking or change the dose unless advised to do so by your health care provider while taking Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen). Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Parafon Forte (chlorzoxazone/acetaminophen). If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.
