Pergonal Injection (menotropin (repronex ampule)) is used to help women to ovulate to become pregnant. It is also used to help induce ovulation in infertile women whose cause of infertility is not related to failure of the ovaries.

Do not use Pergonal Injection (menotropin (repronex ampule)) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Pergonal Injection (menotropin (repronex ampule)) you have uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal problems you have a brain lesion or tumor you are pregnant you are unable to become pregnant for reasons other than absence of ovulation you have heavy or abnormal bleeding of unknown cause you have primary ovarian failure you have ovarian cysts or enlargement not due to polycystic ovary syndrome |

Most severe:ÿ Allergic reaction (rash; hives; swelling of the face); abnormal vaginal bleeding; severe pelvic pain; nausea; vomiting; weight gain; stomach pain or bloating that persists; difficulty breathing; chest pain; changes in heart rate.

Most common:ÿ Stomach pain; flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, muscle aches, joint pain); headache; general body discomfort); diarrhea; pain, rash, reaction at the injection site; dizziness.

Other: Fever, chills, musculoskeletal aches, joint pains, nausea, headache, and malaise have been received); ovarian cysts; gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, bloating); pain, rash, swelling, and/or irritation at site of injection; body rashes; dizziness, tachycardia, dyspnea, tachypnea, and breast tenderness.

How much medicine you are given and how often it is given depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight.
