What is Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) used for? |
Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) is used for the treatment of the various forms of eczema in children and adults including atopic and discoid eczemas; primary irritant and allergic dermatitis; psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis); neurodermatoses including lichen simplex; intertrigo; discoid lupus erythematosus.

What precautions should I follow when taking Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) ?

Before using Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding; if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have impaired kidney, liver, heart or lung condition or if you have any other medical conditions if you have bacterial, viral or tuberculous skin infection. |
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate)?

Long-term continuous therapy with Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) should be avoided where possible, particularly in infants and children, as adrenal suppression can occur even without occlusion. |

How should I take Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. If stomach upset occurs, take with food. Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) can cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not stop taking Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Propaderm (beclomethasone dipropionate). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your Health care provider or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your Health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your Health care provider or pharmacist.
