Most severe: Lightheadedness and fainting; chest pain; heart problems; impotence; breathing problems.

Most common: Swelling of hands and feet; mild swelling of gums; weakness; headache; dizziness; flushing.

Other: Warm sensations; upper respiratory tract infection; cough; runny nose; sneezing; rash; urination problems.

How should I take Renedil (felodipine)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount andperor frequency of Renedil (felodipine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not to crush or chew Tablet. Swallow them whole. Renedil (felodipine) should be regularly taken either without food or with a light meal. Renedil (felodipine) can cause a mild swelling of the gums. Practice good dental hygiene. Patients being treated for high blood pressure often feel tired or rundown for a few weeks after beginning treatment. Continue taking your medication even though you may not feel quite "normal". Contact your doctor or pharmacist about any new symptoms. Renedil (felodipine) may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting when rising from a seated or lying position. If this occurs, sit or lie down and avoid sudden changes in posture. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medicines without talking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Renedil (felodipine). If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
