How should I take Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol) without checking with your health care provider. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Whether you have recurring back pain or just an occasional bout, there's no doubt about it - back pain can be excruciating. When it happens to you, a maximum two or three days of bedrest usually works better than long-term bedrest. Activity, increased gradually, actually causes pain to decrease! While you are resting, lie on your stomach, at least some of the time. This position extends your back. (If this position worsens your pain, as it may for individuals with facet joint syndrome or spinal stenosis, STOP AND CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.) The rest of the time, find a neutral position on your side or on your back and place a couple of pillows under your knees. Avoid twisting and reaching for things; this can strain your back more. If stomach upset occurs, take with food. Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol) can cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid alcohol and other medicines (sedatives, tranquilizers) that cause drowsiness. Do not stop taking Robaxacet (acetaminophen/methocarbamol) without checking with your health care provider.
|
