Robaxin (methocarbamol) may impair the ability of the patient to engage in potentially hazardous activities such as operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle. Patients should be cautioned about combined effects of Robaxin (methocarbamol) with alcohol and other CNS depressants. |
What are the side effects of Robaxin (methocarbamol)?

Most severe: None (Robaxin (methocarbamol) is quite well tolwrated)

Most common: Lightheadedness; dizziness; drowsiness; nausea; "pink eye"; hives; itching; rash; nasal stuffiness; blurred vision; headache; fever.

Other: Allergic manifestations such as urticaria, pruritus, rash or conjunctivitis with nasal congestion
|
How should I take Robaxin (methocarbamol)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Robaxin (methocarbamol) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Women who are or who may become pregnant, particularly if they are in the early stages of pregnancy, should not use Robaxin (methocarbamol). Robaxin (methocarbamol) may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or vision problems. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, and physical dexterity. Avoid alcohol and medicines that cause drowsiness while taking Robaxin (methocarbamol) (eg, sleeping pills, tranquilizers, antihistamines). Do not stop taking Robaxin (methocarbamol) without checking with your doctor. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Robaxin (methocarbamol). Do not take more medicine than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
