It helps loosen mucus and thin lung secretions to make breathing easier, drain bronchial tubes, and make coughs more productive.

How should I take Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine)?

How much medicine you take and how often it is taken depend on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not take Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine) if you are currently using or have used an MAO inhibitor within the last 2 weeks. If you are uncertain whether your other medications contain an MAO inhibitor, check with your health care provider. Consult a doctor before giving Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine) to children under 6 years of age. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine). Do not take more medicine than recommended unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have taken too much of Robitussin Cough & Cold (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine).
