What is Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) used for? |
Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) is used to relieve and prevent the recurrence of scalp itching, irritation, redness, flaking, and scaling caused by dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) and psoriasis.

Before using Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have excessively oily skin or psoriasis that covers a large area of your body if you have any other medical condition |

If undue irritation develops or increases, discontinue use of Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) and consult your health care provider. Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) is for external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. |

How should I take Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid)?
|
How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) you are using, talk with your health care provider. Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid) is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Stop use and contact your health care provider if the condition worsens or does not improve after regular use. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using Sebulex (sulfur/salicylic acid). If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.
