What is Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) used for? |
Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) is used for the temporary relief of sinus and headache pain and nasal congestion associated with sinus inflammation, the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) also promotes sinus drainage, and temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure. It also relieves runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose and throat, and itchy, watery eyes due to hay fever or other upper respiratory tract allergies.

Do not take Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) or to similar medications you have a breathing problem such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema you have heart disease you have high blood pressure you have thyroid disease you have diabetes you have glaucoma you have difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland you are currently taking a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor |

Before using Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplement if you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks a day if you have any other medical condition |

Taking more than the recommended dose of Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) may cause liver damage. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms. |

How should I take Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not take Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) for more than 7 days for pain or for more than 3 days for fever unless told to do otherwise by your health care provider. If pain or fever continues or gets worse, if new symptoms occur, or if redness or swelling is present, talk with your doctor. These could be signs of a serious condition. Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) may cause excitability, especially in children. Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking alcohol and taking medicines that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) unless advised to do so by your doctor. Do not take Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine) if you are currently taking an MAO inhibitor or have taken an MAO inhibitor within the past 2 weeks. If you are not sure whether any of Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine)s contain an MAO inhibitor, talk with your doctor before using Sinutab Sinus & Allergy (acetaminophen/ pseudoephedrine/ chlorpheniramine). Do not take more medicine than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider.
