Most severe: Vaginal pain, sensitivity or irritation; chills; flu-like symptoms (headache; tiredness; muscle aches; fever), painful urination.

Most common: Body pain; burning or itching of the vagina; pain in the genital area; body pain. painful menstruation; stomach pain.

How should I take Terazol Vaginal (terconazole)?
|
How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Terazol Vaginal (terconazole) you are using, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with Terazol Vaginal (terconazole) and reread it each time you get this prescription refilled. Use Terazol Vaginal (terconazole) exactly as directed by your health care provider. Thoroughly clean the applicator after each use. Use Terazol Vaginal (terconazole) completely. Keep using, even during the menstrual period. Do not use tampons while using Terazol Vaginal (terconazole). A sanitary napkin or mini-pad may be used to prevent staining of clothing due to seepage or leakage. Contact your health care provider at once if you experience vaginal sensitivity or irritation, chills, or flu-like symptoms (headache, tiredness, muscle aches, or fever). If your sexual partner experiences itching, redness, or discomfort of the penis, he should contact his health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using Terazol Vaginal (terconazole). Do not stop using Terazol Vaginal (terconazole) without checking with your doctor. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. This includes any herbal preparations and dietary supplements. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have used too much of Terazol Vaginal (terconazole). If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
