How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. Be sure to read the patient information brochure that comes with Testoderm (not available in Canada). Follow application and removal instructions exactly. Apply Testoderm (not available in Canada) at the same time each day to dry, clean scrotal skin. Scrotal hair should be dry-shaved for best results. Do not use chemical hair removers. The system should be worn 22 to 24 hours. Talk with your health care provider if any of the following occurs: Frequent or constant erections of the penis; nausea; vomiting; changes in skin color; ankle swelling; breathing problems, including those associated with sleep. If a woman comes into contact with a system, she should wash the contacted skin at once. Any changes in body hair distribution or increase in acne should be reported to her doctor. Diabetes patients - Testoderm (not available in Canada) may decrease the amount of insulin you need to take. Be prepared to monitor your blood glucose levels frequently. Use of Testoderm (not available in Canada) to improve athletic skills is dangerous and illegal. Do not share Testoderm (not available in Canada) with others. Lab tests will be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Used systems should be thrown away properly so that children or pets do not come into contact with them. Do not stop taking Testoderm (not available in Canada) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Testoderm (not available in Canada). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider.
