What is Tridesilon (desonide) used for? |
Tridesilon (desonide) treats skin swelling, redness, itching, and discomfort caused by insect bites, poison ivy, mild burns, skin rashes, sunburn, and other reasons.

Do not take Tridesilon (desonide) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Tridesilon (desonide) or to similar medications. |

Before using Tridesilon (desonide), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking or planning to take any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition if you have high blood pressure |

Tridesilon (desonide) is for use on the skin only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If it does get on these areas, rinse it off right away. Some forms of Tridesilon (desonide) should not be used on diaper rash or inside the vagina or rectum. If you are not sure what body areas you can use Tridesilon (desonide) on, ask your pharmacist. |

Most severe: Severe allergic reaction (rash, itching, hives, tightness in chest, breathing difficulty)
|

Most common: Red or swollen skin, pus or blisters on skin, acne, burning, itching, or peeling skin
|

How should I take Tridesilon (desonide)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Tridesilon (desonide) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Tridesilon (desonide) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Tridesilon (desonide). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Tridesilon (desonide) at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets. |
