Uniretic (moexipril hydrochloride/HCTZ) can cause lightheadedness and severe drop in blood pressure. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop swelling around your lips, tongue, or throat, or in your arms and legs, or if you begin to have difficulty breathing or swallowing. |

Most severe: Itching, loss of strength, low blood counts, muscle aches, nosebleed, pinkeye, pneumonia, rapid heartbeat, sweating, urinary problems

Most common: Abdominal pain, back pain, bronchitis, chest pain, cough, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, fever, flu symptoms, headache, impotence, increased blood sugar, indigestion, infection, inflammation of the nasal passages, pain, rash, sinus inflammation, sore throat, swelling, tension, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, vertigo

Other: Constipation, difficulty breathing, dizziness upon standing, drowsiness, eczema, fainting, flushing, gynecological problems, inflammation of the digestive tract, insomnia

How should I take Uniretic (moexipril hydrochloride/HCTZ)?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Uniretic (moexipril hydrochloride/HCTZ) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Uniretic (moexipril hydrochloride/HCTZ) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Uniretic (moexipril hydrochloride/HCTZ). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
