Apply lotion as a thin film to affected area(s) as directed by your health care provider. Wash or soak the affected area before applying Valisone (betamethasone). Skin infections may worsen. You may need to stop using Valisone (betamethasone) and treat the infection. Consult your health care provider. Skin wasting may occur after 3 to 4 weeks of regular daily use. Do not mix Valisone (betamethasone) with other medications. Allergic reactions may occur. If this condition gets worse or if irritation, burning, redness, swelling, or stinging persists, do not reapply Valisone (betamethasone). Contact your doctor. Products that contain alcohol may cause drying, burning, or irritation of open lesions. Valisone (betamethasone) is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or eyelids. Do not cover the areas being treated with bandages or other dressings unless advised to do so by your doctor. Report any signs of irritation or allergic reactions to your doctor.
