Most severe: Swelling of the lips and face.
|

Most common: Acne; hair follicle inflammation; stinging; burning; dry skin; itching.
|
|
Other: Redness; skin irritation; rash; hair loss; ingrown hairs; nausea.

How should I take Vaniqua (not available in Canada)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Vaniqua (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Vaniqua (not available in Canada) is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or vaginal area. Apply a thin layer of Vaniqua (not available in Canada) to the affected areas of the face and involved areas under the chin and rub in thoroughly. Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours. Wait at least 8 hours between use of Vaniqua (not available in Canada) or as directed by your health care provider. Continue to shave or pluck the hairs in the treated area as needed in combination with Vaniqua (not available in Canada). Vaniqua (not available in Canada) should be used at least 5 minutes after hair removal. Cosmetics or sunscreens may be used over treated areas after cream has dried. If irritation occurs, try using Vaniqua (not available in Canada) once a day. If the irritation continues, stop using Vaniqua (not available in Canada) and contact your doctor. Do not stop taking Vaniqua (not available in Canada) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Vaniqua (not available in Canada). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
