Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) is used for the short-term (less than 10 days) management of acute pain. It is not used to treat osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

Do not take Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) or to similar medications

Before using Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have a history of substance abuse if you have a history of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding if you have a history of brain injury, brain lesions, or increased pressure within the head if you have severe kidney or liver impairment if you have an underactive thyroid gland if you have Addison's disease if you have an enlarged prostate or narrow bladder neck if you have high blood pressure or a history of heart problems if you have asthma or lung disease if you have bleeding problems or you are taking blood thinners if you have any other medical condition

Other:  Fever; flu-like symptoms; pain; pounding in the chest; flushing; confusion; abnormal skin sensations; abnormal thinking; loss of appetite; thirst; stiff muscles; ringing in the ears; frequent urination. Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) may be habit-forming. Take Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) only for as long as it is prescribed, in the amount prescribed, and no more often than prescribed.

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. Contact your health care provider if any of the following occurs: Dark bloody stools; blurred vision or other vision problems; rash; weight gain; swelling. Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medicines that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Store Vicoprofen (controlled, not able to ship) at controlled room temperature (between 59 to 86 degrees F). Keep in a tight, light-resistant container.
