What is Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) used for? |
Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) is used to treat skin leisions like eczema, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis (dermatitis venenata), superficial forms of intertrigo, and dermatomycos (fungal skin infection) with super imposed bacterial infection.

When should Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) not be taken?

Do not take Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) if you have viral infections of the skin (e.g., chicken-pox, skin eruptions following vaccination, herpes simplex, herpes zoster), tuberculosis of the skin, syphilitic skin infections. |
What precautions should I follow when taking Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) ?

Before using Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding; if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have impaired kidney, liver, heart or lung condition or if you have any other medical conditions |
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone)?

Application of Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) to relatively large and/or eroded areas, treatment for longer than 1 week, as well as use under occlusive dressings may lead to a marked increase in protein-bound iodine (PBI) and should be avoided. |

How should I take Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. If stomach upset occurs, take with food. Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) can cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid alcohol and other medicines (sedatives, tranquilizers) that cause drowsiness. Do not stop taking Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your Health care provider or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your Health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your Health care provider or pharmacist.

Store Vioform Hydrocortisone (clioquinol/hydrocortisone) in a dry place at room temperature between 59° - 86°F. Keep out of reach of children and pets |
