What is Visine (tetrahydrozoline) used for? |
Visine (tetrahydrozoline) is used to relieve eye redness due to minor eye irritation. It also may be used to protect against further irritation or to relieve dryness of eyes.

How should I take Visine (tetrahydrozoline)?
|
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Visine (tetrahydrozoline) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Remove contact lenses before using Visine (tetrahydrozoline). Do not use Visine (tetrahydrozoline) if Visine (tetrahydrozoline) seal is broken or missing. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or continues for more than 72 hours, stop using Visine (tetrahydrozoline) and talk with your doctor. Overuse of Visine (tetrahydrozoline) may cause increased eye redness. Do not use Visine (tetrahydrozoline) if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the container to any surface. Be sure to replace cap after using. Do not stop taking Visine (tetrahydrozoline) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Visine (tetrahydrozoline). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider.

Store Visine (tetrahydrozoline) 59 and 86 degrees F. Keep away from heat or flame. Do no freeze. |
