Kenacomb

Kenacomb is used to treat skin infections and associated itching and swelling in conditons such as, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic, dermatitis, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis caused by certain bacteria or fungi.

Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredients in this medicine or similar medications and if you have tuberculosis, viral or fungal skin infections.

Important information about Kenacomb

Kenacomb is for topical use only. It should not be used in or around the eyes, and should not be applied to the external ear canal for people with perforated eardrums or otitis media.

People with allergic eczema should not cover the area of application after the cream has been applied.

This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Before using this medication tell your doctor if you have

  • tuberculosis of the skin;
  • fungal or viral lesions of the skin;
  • herpes simplex
  • chickenpox
  • vaccinia
  • kidney and ear problems

How to use Kenacomb

Clean and dry the affected area as directed. Apply a thin layer on the affected area of the skin. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the treated area unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor.

Kenacomb side effects

Most severe: Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, acne-like eruptions, hypo pigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae and malaria.

Most common: Burning, itching, redness, or a rash.
