Researchers from Israel have discovered a shocking new treatment that may help men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). However, when men hear what the treatment is, they might not be so enthusiastic about trying it. Shock wave therapy has shown a great deal of promise in treating ED.

Results from low-intensity shock wave therapy have been able to significantly improve erectile function in about 15 of 20 men who reported suffering from mild or moderate ED. The recent information was presented at the annual meeting of the European Society for Sexual Medicine.

This new discovery may allow men an alternative to taking ED pills, such as Viagra or Cialis. Additionally, further advancements in this type of treatment may allow more men to have their ED cured permanently, or at least for a significant period of time. However, for men that feel uncomfortable with electric shocks being administered to their penis, ED pills are always an option.

However, before I get ahead of myself here, I should just say that these findings were just a preliminary test. Further research and analysis are still required before anything is finalized. Although no one can say that this isn’t a step forward for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
