The idea seems simple enough (love + family = happiness) however most of us don&#8217;t take the costs of raising a<strong> family</strong> into enough consideration. Some families live by common phrases like &#8220;We&#8217;ll make it work&#8221; “our love has no price tag&#8221; or &#8220;we&#8217;ll take it as it comes&#8221; &#8211; but why not map out a mental budget plan before having children? </p>
<div align="justify">
A recent estimation by the Agricultural Department of the US has found that it will cost a middle-income family over $290,000 to raise and accommodate one child until they are 18.<br />
This estimate takes into account food, shelter, and basic needs like clothing and furniture. That figure does not include things like the costs of toys and games, health care, piano lessons or soccer enrolment. Most importantly, the figure does not include the costs of post secondary education. </div>
<div align="justify">
The average annual amount of money spent on one child is between $11,000 and $13,000, for middle-income, two parent families. Families with lower incomes had spent less on their children, and those with high incomes had spent more on their children. The lowest costs in raising children are in rural parts of America, and in Southern Cities. The expenses of children are higher in North East cities. </div>

<p>The more children a family has, the higher the price tag. </p></div>
