This medicine is used to treat surface eye infections caused by certain bacteria.Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F.How much medicine you use and how often you use it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are using, talk with your health care provider. Talk with your doctor if stinging burning, or itching becomes pronounced, or if redness, irritation, discharge, swelling, decreased vision, or pain persists or worsens. Apply 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye every 4 hours. Do not inject into the eye. To avoid contamination do not touch the tip of the container to the eye, eyelid, or any surface. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.
