What is Chlor-Tripolon/Chlorpheniramine - Generic Non Rx used for?
This medicine is used in adults and children over 12 years of age to temporarily relieve sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, itching of the nose due to hay fever, and other upper respiratory allergies.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have a history of bronchitis, emphysema, or other breathing problems you have glaucoma you have an difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland

Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Chlor-Tripolon/Chlorpheniramine - Generic Non Rx?
Since the depressant effects of this medicine are additive to those of other drugs affecting the CNS, patients should be cautioned against drinking alcoholic beverages or taking hypnotics, sedatives, psychotherapeutic agents or other drugs with CNS depressant effects during treatment with this medicine.
What are the side effects of Chlor-Tripolon/Chlorpheniramine - Generic Non Rx?
Most severe: Drowsiness, restlessness, dry mouth, dizziness, weakness, anorexia, nausea, headache, nervousness, polyuria, heartburn, diplopia, dysuria
Most common:ÿ Irritability, especially in children; drowsiness.
Other: Dermatitis
How should I take Chlor-Tripolon/Chlorpheniramine - Generic Non Rx?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine may cause drowsiness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medicines that cause sleepiness (ei, sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking this medicine. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider.
