What is Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride used for?
This medicine is used to treat depression.

Store at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.

When should Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride not be taken?
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medications, if you are using drugs containing MAO inhibitors.
What precautions should I follow when taking Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride?
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking or planning to take any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition if you have high blood pressure, kidney function impairment, liver function impairment or respiratory problems, narrow angle glaucoma, if you have diabetes or if you drink alcohol regularly.
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride?
This medicine may need to be monitored for worsening sysmptoms of depression and/or suicidal thoughts at the start of therapy or when doses are changed. Your doctor may want you to monitor for the following symptoms: anxiety, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping, irritability, hostility, impulsivity, severe restlessness, and mania (mental and/or physical hyperactivity).
What are the side effects of Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride?
Most severe: Allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives), an irregular heartbeat or pulse, low blood pressure (dizziness, weakness), high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision), chills or fever, unusual bleeding or bruising, a rash or hives.
Most common: Headache, tremor, nervousness, or anxiety, difficulty concentrating, constipation, nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, or changes in appetite or weight, weakness, increased sweating, sleepiness or insomnia
Other: Decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm.
How should I take Cymbalta/Duloxetine Hydrochloride?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. taken two hours before or six hours after taking these products. Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Finish the full course prescribed by your prescriber or health care professional even if you think your condition is better. Do not stop taking except on your prescriber's advice.
