What is Entocort/Budesonide used for?
This medicine is used to treat mild to moderate Crohn's disease.

How should Entocort/Budesonide be stored?
Store at controlled room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed.

What precautions should I follow when taking Entocort/Budesonide?
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription medicine, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have tuberculosis if you have high blood pressure if you have diabetes or a family history of diabetes if you have osteoporosis (brittle bones) if you have peptic ulcers if you have glaucoma or a family history of glaucoma if you have cataracts if you have liver disease if you have any other medical condition
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Entocort/Budesonide?
This medicine can suppress immunity and reduce resistamce to infections especially viral infections.
What are the side effects of Entocort/Budesonide?
Most severe: Swelling of the mouth, face, lips, and tongue, rashes, hives, breathing difficulty.
Most common: Headache; respiratory tract infection; nausea; back pain; indigestion; dizziness; stomach pain; gas; vomiting; tiredness; pain.
Other: Chest pain; flu-like symptoms; general body discomfort; abnormal skin sensations; hyperactivity; tremor; feeling of a whirling motion; tooth disorder; ear infection; pounding in the chest; fast heartbeat; weight gain; arthritis; cramps; muscle pain; increased appetite; confusion; sleeplessness; nervousness; drowsiness; oral infection; abnormal menses; bronchitis; breathing difficulty; acne; hair loss; skin infection; increased sweating; problems urinating; frequent urination; flushing; vision problems.
How should I take Entocort/Budesonide?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully follow the procedures taught to you by your health care provider. This medicine is usually taken once a day in the morning. Swallow Capsule whole. Do not chew or break them. Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit while taking this medicine. Do not deliberately expose yourself to chickenpox or measles. If you are exposed while taking this medicine, contact your health care provider at once. This medicine may cause dizziness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Lab tests may be required to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. If a dose is missed, inhale it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, restart medication and advise your health care provider or pharmacist at your next appointment.
