This medicine may cause mild stinging or burning when you first put it in your eye. Contact your doctor if the stinging continues. Do not use this medicine for prolonged periods of time. Do not use this medicine for future eye problems without first checking with your doctor. Do not wear soft contact lenses while using this medicine.

What are the side effects of Livostin/Levocabastine?

Most severe:ÿ Difficulty breathing.

Most common:ÿ Stinging and burning of eyes; headache.

Other:ÿ Vision problems; dry mouth; tiredness; sore throat; eye pain/dryness; drowsiness; redness; tearing; eye discharge; cough; nausea; rash; eyelid swelling.

How should I take Livostin/Levocabastine?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not wear soft contact lenses during treatment with this medicine. This medicine is for topical use only. It should not be injected into the eye. Shake well before using. Do not touch the eyelids or surrounding areas with the dropper tip of the bottle as this may contaminate the solution. Do not use if the medicine is discolored. This medicine may cause drowsiness or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
