Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you are taking sulfonamides

Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine or dietary supplement if you have kidney disease if you have any other medical condition

What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Potaba/Aminobenzoate potassium?

It may take several months for this medicine to work. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. Check with your doctor if you have symptoms of low blood sugar such as shakiness, dizziness, sweating, or fast heartbeat.

What are the side effects of Potaba/Aminobenzoate potassium?

Most severe:  Swelling of the face or mouth; difficulty breathing.

Most common:  Nausea.

Other:  Vomiting; stomach upset; rash; fever.

How should I take Potaba/Aminobenzoate potassium?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount andperor frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine should be taken with food or snacks. Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor if you develop nausea, loss of appetite, or signs of allergic reaction. This medicine acts very slowly. Sometimes 2 or 3 months of therapy are needed before any benefit is noticed. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Do not change the dose or stop taking this medicine unless advised to do so by your doctor. If a sensitivity reaction occurs, contact your doctor. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If several doses are missed, restart therapy and advise your doctor or pharmacist at your next visit.
