What is Tenoretic/Atenolol/Chlorthalidone used for?
This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure.

Store at controlled room temperature(68 to 77 degrees F). Keep in well-closed, light-resistant containers.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medications you have heart problems, such as slow heartbeat, heart block, or heart failure you are unable to urinate
What precautions should I follow when taking Tenoretic/Atenolol/Chlorthalidone?
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Tenoretic/Atenolol/Chlorthalidone?
This medicine used with caution if you have a history of congestive heart failure or other heart problems. Do not stop this medicine suddenly. This medicine can cause you to become drowsy or less alert; therefore, activity that requires full mental alertness is not recommended until you know how you respond to this medicine.
What are the side effects of Tenoretic/Atenolol/Chlorthalidone?
Most severe: Severe allergic reaction (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, tongue, lips, tongue, hands, feet, and throat); infrequent urination; chest pain.
Most common: Slow heartbeat; dizziness; tiredness; nausea; low blood pressure; loss of appetite; stomach problems; vomiting; cramping; constipation; yellowing of the skin or eyes; muscle spasms; weakness; restlessness; rash; itching; red or purple patches under the skin; sensitivity to sunlight.
Other: Excessive thirst, hair loss, headache, high blood sugar, impotence, loss of appetite, low potassium leading to symptoms like dry mouth, muscle pain or cramps, muscle spasm.
How should I take Tenoretic/Atenolol/Chlorthalidone?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your health care provider. Carefully follow your health care provider's instruction for gradually decreasing the amount of medicine you are taking. Diabetic patients - This medicine may hide signs that your blood sugar level is too high. Your health care provider may need to change the amount of diabetic medication that you are taking. Contact your health care provider at once if any of the following signs of excessive fluid or electrolyte loss occur: Dry mouth; thirst; weakness; lethargy; drowsiness; restlessness; muscle pain or cramps; muscle tiredness; low blood pressure; infrequent urination; rapid heartbeat; nausea; vomiting. This medicine may cause dizziness or lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position. If this occurs, sit or lie down and avoid sudden changes in posture. Observe caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine. This medicine may cause sensitivity to sunlight. Do not expose yourself to the sun and wear protective clothing and sunscreen until tolerance is determined. Lab tests may be needed to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
